I just heard someone say “oh yeah, it’s November the 5th today!” No, it’s the 5th of November. Or else the rhyme doesn’t work.

Reportedly, David Lammy has dismissed his previous criticism of the odious Trump and insisted he would be able to find "common ground". Time to grow a pair, I would suggest. Kowtowing to a felonious megalomaniac, whoever they are, is never an acceptable position.

Would it be wise to let a lunatic bigot, whose sole focus is self-aggrandisement, to play any part in discussions with a lunatic bigot whose sole focus is self-aggrandisement? The whole world seems to be losing the plot ... or is it just the media?

I have been sent a video of my 2-year-old granddaughter trying out her new scooter, clad only in a nappy and singing the refrain to Neil Young's 'Look Out For My Love'. The activity/clothing combination might be open to question, but it's hard to criticise the choice of music.

Prompted by several people I follow, I've set up a @Bluesky identity. For the time being, I'm going to try duplicating posts and seeing how things go.

‘We’re getting poorer’ says Nigel Farage MP in his Beth Rigby interview. I agree. The Brexit he championed is on course to cut UK trade by a staggering 15% - a huge reduction in the potential economic performance of the country at a time when every penny counts

Possibly, my last thought on the state of the world for 2024 ... ... around 40% of those eligible to do so, didn't vote in the US presidential election; of those that did, over 77 million Americans do not believe that Trump is clinically, and criminally, insane (or don't care).

Macron denounces Elon Musk's "unacceptable interference" in European democracies by supporting "a new reactionary international". He's the 4th European leader in the last day to speak against Musk following Olaf Scholz, Keir Starmer & Jonas Gahr Støre. Action must follow words.

His legacy will be that, given four years to do so, he failed to convince the US electorate that voting for a criminal megalomaniac to serve a second term was not a good idea.

The trouble with my email server listing mail items with the first line as a summary, is that it can get me over excited. As, for example, "USA PRS Guitars from just £1 ..." Ah ... £1999. That makes more sense. Disappointing, though.

The FA has said that "let him die" chants from Millwall supporters do not breach its regulations. So, time to look at their regulations, I would suggest.

I would like to thank Donald J. Trump. The prospect of four more years of his egomaniacal bullshit and falsehoods seems to have cured me of my former addiction to this platform. Now, what to do with the time that's been freed up ...

I realise that Reform is a commercial organisation, rather than a political party, but branching out into IT support is a surprising move.
