very very early initial thoughts on Dia is that it feels... clunky. there was a certain smoothness of arc that this doesn't have, and it makes me a little sad.

also, maybe my expectations from the cursor based ai interaction were very high but the current implementation seems more effortful than what they showed in their demo video.

love everything about this. i love the minimal design and the simple call to action buttons. would be very curious to see how threaded conversations and label support can be integrated!

Noticing a trend — professional software is slowly turning to canvas and nodes, rather than rigid UIs. AI is providing flexibility that existing patterns just can't adapt to. Canvas allows for unrestricted visual thinking and nodes create connections between contexts.

I'm thinking one tangible use case for this notes app will be for interior designers to keep client mood boards with annotated photos, long notes, to do lists, meeting notes and short scribbles - all together in the same space.
