85 years ago, the first patients from the evacuation of Dunkirk arrived at the old Pembury Hospital, wet from sea water & exhausted. By 6 June the hospital had cared for 300 soldiers, with Medical Superintendent, Dr Grasby calling it “Pembury Hospital's finest hour.” #Dunkirk85
