Cape Hatteras Lighthouse at Night The tallest lighthouse in the United States, Cape Hatteras Light is a beacon for one of the most dangerous parts of the Atlantic Coast known as the "Graveyard of the Atlantic" due to the shipwrecks caused by the perilous waters in the area.
