While BikeWest continues to advocate for the construction of safe bike lanes on Hopkins St Footscray.
We ask for a drop in the speed limit from 60 to 40 as in interim measure to keep pedestrians and cyclists safe

The Dynon Rd bike path is a little safer now that it bypasses the Citylink onramp

People within the bureaucracy have been pushing for this bypass to be (re)built for over five years.

Now, less than 2 weeks after a tragic & foreseeable crash it has finally been (re)constructed

This is the 6th or maybe 7th strike in 2024. Give me a break

The West Gate Freeway closes in both directions between Millers Road and Williamstown Road tonight for West Gate Tunnel works. Inbound lanes will close from 11pm while outbound lanes close at 11.59pm. Detours will use Blackshaws or Geelong roads until 7am Sunday. #victraffic

DTP & WGTP knew about safety issues with the Dynon Road intersection that yesterday seriously and permanently injured a young man.

URGENT:

Cyclists will be forced to use Dynon Rd from 21 May to 16 June due to West Gate Tunnel works.

On Weds a cyclist was run over by a B-Double at the Dynon/Citylink intersection.

We call on DTP to urgently remove the simultaneous green lights for trucks & bikes.
