Earlier today, our very own Dr. Jana Aupperlee provided testimony regarding Senate Bill 10-20 to the Michigan Senate Health Policies and Human Services Committee on the shortage of school psychologists. Thanks, Dr. Aupperlee, for your strong advocacy for the profession!

Joe Sbar, a school psychologist in the U.P. and a graduate of our program, was recently appointed to the Governor’s Educator Advisory Council. Joe was also named the 2021 Michigan School Psychologist of the Year. Congratulations, Joe!

Lamia, a first year doctoral student, recently won the Incoming Student SASP Diversity Scholarship. The award helps facilitate the education of a deserving student who wants to help promote cultural diversity within the field. Congrats, Lamia!
