Day 2. I think brothers should give each other flowers more often. Like men should praise other men. Not celebrities. But people they know and love and let inside. Brothers should lift up each other, randomly. To let it be known how important we are to one another.

just jumped off a call & my guy shared a quote that really hit me. he said, "trust is the only currency that matters". if our students don't trust us, how can we teach 'em? the title of 'teacher' alone don't cut it ... moving fwd how are we building trust? #teachertwitter #onted

Yea, representation matters in Ed but we've known this. What we need to ask is why aren't particular groups interested in careers in Ed? Unless we honestly answer this question AND rectify the issues the responses raise, the representation we need ain't happening #edutwitter

and it ain't just about hiring more Black teachers. it's about fostering a culture that values inclusion, diverse voices & experiences, and supporting all students & staff - not just when something f'd up happens to another Black person. Imagine ... #educhat #onted
