Thank you BCPS Science Office for an amazing trip to Benjamin Banneker Park to find different organisms! We loved being outdoors and finding so many different things including a 🦊 and slug! Thanks for bringing Science to life for us!

EPIK Kids showed their appreciation to our local fire department by presenting them with gift bags and notes. The Engine 4 Crew shared fire safety tips and demonstrated how the equipment works. Thank you Station 4 for your courage and dedication!!

Working our way through setting expectations in our Westchester Elementary fifth grade class! Today we practiced partner work expectations and my students rocked it! ⭐️😍

Arrrrrrrrrrrrr! We were so excited to celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day 🏴‍☠️ We had eyepatches, hooks, parrots, and even a peg leg!

Putting our area, perimeter, and surface area learning into action by building a model tiny home! We had to make sure all necessities were covered and fit to scale! 🏡

We chose to have class outside for their reward after earning all their pumpkins for compliments and meeting expectations for independent work! It is an absolutely gorgeous day to be outside with these superstars 🌟

Our 5th graders completed a broom stick challenge with the only materials allowed being: 8 straws, one foot of tape, and scissors to see how many candy pumpkins they can fit! Ms. Tedesco’s class hit a new record of 43 candy pumpkins! Westchester Elementary

I was welcomed with a 👑 and red carpet after lunch today and its the best thing ever 😂 Thanks for the royal treatment Westchester Elementary! My kids need to win the 🎃 contest more often!

Just a glimpse into menu-making in my Math class🍴 Students made menu to practice their decimal operation skills and we had a wide array of themes! You could be eating at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant or bring your dog to a Dog Diner 🐶 We had a blast!

5th grade had a blast at Benjamin Banneker Park doing our yearly BioBlitz field trip where we searched for different plants, animals, and decomposers! Thank you to our fantastic chaperones and students for represented WES so well 😍
