A#1: When students miss a class for some reason, I tag them in the group chat to flag the lesson content, and then send them a private message asking if everything is okay. 99% aren't truanting - they're just overwhelmed. #AppleEDUchat

A2: I've never walked more kms in. my. life! New to Melbourne but just about know the city like the back of my hand after remote learning for a few weeks. How great to put the sneakers on between classes and go for a walk/run outside! #AppleEDUchat

A3: Changing up how I take attendance with students. At the moment, I've loving asking them super random questions about themselves and getting them to share. Makes it fun and gives students a few minutes to change gears between classes. #appleeduchat

A4: Spending the first 5 mins of a video call checking in and seeing how they're going. Then staying in the video chat after it's finished to conference with those who are struggling. #appleeduchat

A5: I'm trying to foster more student-student connections this week by using channels for group work in Teams. I think students are really missing seeing each other and having those valuable group convos about learning #AppleEDUchat

A6: My Year 11s had to complete their summative oral presentations via video conference. They were SO nervous and terrified the tech would fail, but it didn't, and they left the kindest comments for each other. Sometimes kids are just the greatest. #AppleEDUchat

A6: Also, I was late to my Year 11 lesson this afternoon due to tech issues, and this was the theme of every single comment I found on the feed: 'I hope she's alright'. When you model genuine respect and kindness with students, you get it right back. #AppleEDUchat
