Today was a very special day! We enjoyed reconnecting w/ one another & building new relationships w/ our peers. Ss created classroom promises, listened to read alouds, practised calming in time & had lots of fun outside during recess time! St. Isabel Catholic Elementary School #ocsbFirstDay 🤍

We had a wonderful Wednesday! Ss wrote about their special character traits, we had a classroom discussion about what it means to be a school family, we made number & nature patterns & used our critical thinking & collaboration skills to play Math & Gym games w/ one another. 🤍

Today we discussed the importance of our feelings, wrote about the people we have in our hearts, we played number games & created patterns using a variety of materials & loose parts. Later in the day we enjoyed the beautiful weather & played some fun activities outside w/ Mr. G!

We started our Flyleaf Publishing book “I am Sam” & learned some new words together. Later in the day, we played some balancing, throwing & catching games in the gym, participated in some numeracy activities & wrote about ways we can be Good Samaritans in our learning journals. 🤍

Our Gr. 1 friends have been using their collaboration & critical thinking skills to create, label & extend patterns! They have also been learning about hibernation, how to write simple procedures & love having some special play time during our calming in routine! Jeremy Grison

Today we enjoyed going on a nature walk using our five senses. Ss documented their findings and collaborated together to create and extend patterns outdoors. In the afternoon, our classes enjoyed playing a round of wheel of knowledge with Mr. G!
