Very sorry to hear of the death of Sir George Reid, former Presiding Officer of Holyrood. He performed his duties with just the right degree of gravitas and good humour, often appearing bemused at the antics of some in the Chamber. He was effective in tackling the issues (1/2)

with the Holyrood building project, which saw vast cost over-runs. Although he had a distinguished career in the SNP, he was always fair-minded and non-partisan in the Chair. My condolences to his family & friends. (2/2)
