This afternoon, I made the decision to close @FDESPandas Elementary School out of an abundance of caution and operational concerns. In the words of Dr. Fauci, 'You don't make the timeline, the virus makes the timeline.' We will continue to make prudent decision for our community.

Big thanks to Lord Fairfax Dept. Of Health for providing a personalized N-95 mask fitting for our school nurses.

We continue 'Return to School' planning tonight and will have results from family survey. Over 1,300 responses (some duplicated). If you can't 'attend' the meeting, be sure to check out the presentation and the supporting comment documents.

Our bus will be parked on Wilson blvd. again on Thursday from 10am to noon for WiFi access for all WPS students.

The WiFi bus will be at Douglass park till 12:30.

WPS will have a WIFI bus parked at DCLC on N. Kent on Thursday, 4/30, 10 am -12:30. Students may bring their chromebooks to access our WiFi. Social distancing will be important. #gowps #StrongerTogetherWPS #handleypride
