The tone of this is just crushing for those of us who had hoped for better from the new government. For many, school is a hostile environment, and to be absolutely ignorant of that is to remain part of the problem.

So pleased for this chap, but it’s telling that an autistic young man doing an internship is newsworthy. We must do better, Liz Kendall. This should be an ordinary, everyday occurrence.
