One obvious conclusion that can be made is that if we want to cure MS, we need to cure Progressive MS. But there are some other important implications of the #BiggestMSMyth.

I used to think that having Relapsing MS meant that you were lucky because we have treatment! Now I understand that it is unlucky(!) because you have both progressive pathology which we can not treat, and inflammatory pathology which we MAY be able to treat. #BiggestMSMyth

The #BiggestMSMyth also tells us that if you are looking for a cure, you have to ignore all the research on EAE because that is just looking at a feature of some types of MS (inflammation).

#BiggestMSMyth everyone thinks secondary progressive MS occurs after RRMS burns out. But in actuality the progressive pathology has been there from the beginning. #MultipleSclerosis #curems

As a MD and MS expert and as the person who has the best shot of curing MS, the most important thing I can do right now is ring the bell on COVID19. The entire US needs to be woken up to the fact that we need to implement drastic social isolation if we are to control this thing.

Please, if you see this tweet, tweet out your support and encouragement for self isolation. Only go out if it’s absolutely necessary. #SelfIsolation #FlattenTheCurve #COVIDー19 #coronavirus

Thought of the day: Do I listen to my wife (who has MS) and give up my Quixotic quest to find the cure for MS, or continue forging ahead and risk being branded a delusional lunatic?

So far, my biggest takeaway from #MSVirtual2020 is that older patients (ie >30 years) should consider #IntermittentFasting.

Wow....what a 2020. Gonna start off 2021 with a poll. Pls retweet so it gets more exposure. 🙏🏻 #MultipleSclerosis For #MSers who have gotten Ocrevus/Keysimpta/Rituxan, did your heat intolerance go away?

mscurefocus (@mscure2020) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Very interesting news. However it does point to the gut as a immunomodulator rather than primary driver in other disease (I.e #MultipleSclerosis).

2020/21 were bad years and progress toward a cure suffered both setbacks and advancement. I am confident breakthrough therapy for MS will be available in 5-10 years which will safely put the brakes on this disease; but we are in a holding pattern for the next 3 years. 🤞🙏🏻
