Exciting to have so many families take part in the Unified Arts GLOW OUT last night! Something for everyone with activities that showcased the amazing work and the skills learned in Music, Arts Alive, Learning Lab, Art, Library, and Physical Education! #SFESLionPride

I only took 1 picture that wasn’t blurry, but it doesn’t even begin to cover how amazing Glow Out was at our Celebration of Excellence last night. I am so lucky to work with the Unified Arts team who are always willing to collaborate on fun, innovative ideas for our students. 💚

Another huge shout out to our outstanding 1st and 2nd grade readers! Here is the official total number of books borrowed from the South Fayette Elementary School Library this year - even more than last year’s total. Keep up the great reading this summer!

This is just a small glimpse into the past week of 2nd grade “Glowing Out In Style”! We had so much fun celebrating all of their accomplishments in Library class over the past two years as these students said goodbye to the Elementary School Library.

⭐️ Here are all of the newest additions to the SFES Library Dojo Wall of Fame! There are 54 new inductees to the wall, the first ever group of first graders to be added, and a new record with one 2nd grade student earning 127 points this year. Congrats to all! ⭐️

The 2023-2024 school year was definitely one for the books! First in-person author visit, officially over 50 class published books, and lots more fun along the way. Wishing my colleagues and students a fun, safe, and rest-filled summer! 🦁💚📚

Hooray! So excited to share this book with my South Fayette Elementary School students in its published form. They LOVED the sneak peek in November last year, and I’ve already had a few kiddos ask if I have the 6th book yet! 😄

Second grade had a blast today exploring how finding a shirt that fits is just like finding a book that’s just right to read and reading Goldie Socks and the Three Libearians today! Remember - just like with shirts, sometimes you have to try a few books to find the perfect fit.

It was book care day with 1st grade! We played a sorting game (with a “maybe” area added after we decided we can share books with younger siblings and pets, but we can’t leave our books alone with them). We also got to read A Perfectly Messed Up Story with @novel_effect !
