THANK YOU to all who helped, presented, contributed, listened, questioned & shared so generously at #EphemeralModernisms! I barely took any photos, but here are some bags, a bunny & a brutalist building. It was lovely to see old British Association for Modernist Studies friends & to make some new ones 🥰

Thank you to @robbhawkes & everyone on the British Association for Modernist Studies x School of English - University of Leeds conference organising committee for making #EphemeralModernisms such a great experience. Leaving Leeds exhausted but full of ideas & possibilities!

After nearly ten months of planning and organising, I'm relieved and excited that #EphemeralModernisms was a great success and everyone had a wonderful time University of Leeds! (1/3) 🧵

Had 3 amazing days in Leeds at Ephemeral Modernism British Association for Modernist Studies filled with modernist chats, meeting new&old friends and listening to fantastic papers. Thanks to the organisers and the welcoming atmosphere at School of English - University of Leeds. It was ephemeral and yet memorable! 🍃

Just found out that Taylor & Francis has sold access to all Routledge Books data to Microsoft to train their AI. This includes my publications. I get no payment for using my research labour, never mind the bigger problems of this energy-intensive extractivism...

Our postdoctoral visiting fellows are a vibrant part of the community here at LAHRI. The scope of their work is impressive, as this article shows lahri.leeds.ac.uk/news/celebrati… Victoria Vargas D, PhD (she/her/ella) Dr Milena Schwab-Graham Dr Wei Zhou Cultural Institute
