Today was Rangoli day for Fall Spirit Week! It was so nice to have parents join us to show us how to make Rangoli!

Today was door decorating day! First we surveyed the class on what kind of door to make & then we graphed our results. After, listening to the story “Gustavo the Shy Ghost” he inspired our Halloween door! It was a great opportunity to make reflections about what makes us glow!

Our windows were looking festive for Diwali, Halloween and Day of the Dead!

Our Festival of Lights performance was a huge success! The students worked so hard to take us on a trip around the world to teach us about all of the celebrations that are centred on lights! 🕯️🪔☪️🎄🕎

It is spirit week, Goldcrest! Participate in dress-up days, buy candy grams and give to our giving tree!

New year, new look! Our school got some amazing new murals!

Our student-created Black History Month Museum was a great way to showcase all of the learning and activities that have been happening in our k-5 classrooms this month!

Our MSA celebrated Eid with a pizza party! They enjoyed their snacks and sharing what they did to celebrate!

Thank you Ms. Leslie for coming to read your book “Believe in Bruno” to us today! It was the perfect story for Autism Acceptance Month!

Goldcrest’s Sikh Student Association put on an amazing assembly today to showcase their religion and to educate staff, students and the community about what it means to be Sikh.

This is #EducationWeek Fernforest PS! Shining light on this year’s theme, Igniting Minds, Inspiring Futures, each student and staff member shared their unique voice by completing the prompt, “I can light up the world by...” The display is a reminder of how every spark matters!

We have been so fortunate to have Harry back again this year to teach us Bhangra! Students have been loving learning this style of dance! #educationweek
