Second graders created goods to sell at our market! We loved putting our knowledge of economics and coins to use!

Feeling so grateful for my time in second grade Nora Elementary. I will forever cherish everything this class has taught me. These students hold a special place in my heart.

I had the opportunity to learn about social emotional learning from Amy Ertel yesterday. As she says, “behavior is communication.” I left inspired and ready to implement these strategies into the classroom!

Today, a student created a new version of a multiplication game. "We are playing where we say the answer, and then the other person has to guess the two numbers that multiply to the answer!" I love that students are thinking about math in different ways!

Congratulations to Butler University COE Prof. Theresa Knipstein Meyer on receiving the 2022 Outstanding Professor of the Year Award from Indiana CEC! Due to weather, she was unable to accept in person, but 3 COE Butler CEC student members accepted on her behalf.

After writing and typing figurative language stories, students recorded their stories on FlipGrid. Students loved listening to their peers’ creative stories, as did I!

In our final class, we wrote letters to welcome first-years to Butler. It feels like yesterday that I received my letter, but I’m excited for my next adventure! Butler COE

Play-Doh Quadrilaterals! Third grade mathematics used Play-Doh to build and compare attributes of quadrilaterals.
