During World War 1 & 2, the British Army recruited thousands of Sikh soldiers from Punjab and sent them to Europe to defend the Union Jack. They protected the Canadian line in Ypres in Flanders fields & fought at Vimy Ridge. This all is missing in Canadian history books & media.
