The HDSB continues to monitor the Air Quality Health Index for Halton. Given the forecasted air quality for Friday, June 9, and following guidance from Environment Canada, the HDSB has cancelled outdoor sports activities for Friday, June 9.

Our students have become very interested in paper folding activities, especially creating their own paper fans. With this interest in mind, we invited students in our class create fans in the colours of the rainbow, co-creating this garland for our windowsill 🌈

Our @BOYNEhdsb Bear Cubs had such nice weather for our walk to the park yesterday. The students had so much fun and did such a great job😊

2/3-1 were so excited for our math centres yesterday. It was so nice to see how they were able to work together, problem solve, and have fun together as they continue to build relationships with each other.

How cool is this? One of our grade 3s found it outside and we have been making our own observations 🔍 What do you see, or wonder about?

After learning about the creation story of Turtle Island, students had a chance to draw their own turtles with a focus on lines within the elements of art. Students created their own line designs and then painted using water colours.

This is a book I usually like to read to my class around Remembrance day. It’s even more pertinent with current world events that many of my students have been discussing. It also allowed connections to be made to Orange shirt day learning and Treaty recognition week.
