A bit bewildered at how Salah is having a 'terrible season' when he has scored the same number of PL goals as Isak, who we can all agree is on fire. It's true he has toiled since Afcon but even by today's standards the narrative is a bit OTT.

Sadio Mané scored 33 goals in all competitions in his first two seasons at Liverpool.

Darwin Núñez has scored 33 goals in all competitions in his first two seasons at Liverpool.

And he still has 4 games to go.

Trust. The. Process.

Klopp sitting down is a metaphor for the end of his tenure.

We have never seen him sit down during a game before. He did against Atalanta too.

He is so full on, and his teams are the same, that when they run out of energy, like him, they completely run out of energy.

You know who everyone would be moaning about online now? Paisley. And Joe Fagan. And Kenny. And Houllier.
You know who they'd have been happy with? Souness. (As I was at the time)
The message? Leave it to the professionals. It'll be sound.

(🟢) NEW:

Arne Slot appears to fit the mould of a 'Head Coach' whose priority is on the training pitch, which Liverpool want, rather than a manager in their new structure lead by Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes. [Jason Burt]

He looks like the team played. The season needed to end in March not May.

Enjoy your rest Jurgen. You need it.

We start a new era this summer. Up the Reds.

Thanks Jurg. It’s been fun. At least in 18/19/20 and 21/22 - the rest has been rather hit and miss.

Can’t help thinking there was a more professional way of handling his exit; that has been an unnecessary and draining sideshow as it turned out.

Crystal Palace have an incredible knack of upsetting Liverpool on the pitch but their fans are always classy. Impeccably observed minutes’ silence and none of the usual exasperating shouts from the away end. Sounds simple but means a lot, especially today.

Total arrogance from - from Klopp’s selection/tactics, to fans/banners, to starting XI and subs.

All that said big credit to Atalanta and their players - the door was wide open and they walked in like bosses.
