Full-time faculty, librarians and lab instructors at Mount Saint Vincent University declared a strike Monday after failing to reach a deal with the school.

Alberta post-secondary tuition fees are higher than the national average.

In 2022, more than 450 attacks on academic freedom were recorded worldwide. There has been an upward trend since 2015, where a little over 100 attacks were recorded.
