A stand alone art lesson in Year 5, saw us look at the work of Paul Klee. We liked his famous 'cat' artwork which we replicated by using oil pastels, coloured pencils or both. Bright and vibrant, these look purr-fect π±βπ¨ Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockY5 #TockArt
During the past two art club sessions, we've looked at the work of Paul Klee. We liked his famous 'cat' artwork and replicated a version of it by using coloured pencils and a fine liner. They all look purr-fect π±βπ¨ Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockY4 #TockArt
The final Art Club session, saw the completion of our 'Egg Box Animals in Frames'. These have taken just 2 sessions. A bit fiddly to create, but we were pleased with the results. Mice, foxes, a wolf and a dog. They all look awesome! π¨ β #TockArt #TockY4 Tockwith CE Primary Academy
Today, in Art Club, we completed our 'Egg Box Animals in Frames'. A bit tricky and fiddly for Year 3's to create, but I had great confidence in this bunch and the results are awesome! Foxes, crocodiles and a mouse. Haven't they done well ππ» π¨ β #TockArt #TockY3 Tockwith CE Primary Academy
The Year 3 art clubbers, finished their cute little bobble hats tonight. It's amazing what you can create with a loo roll and a bit of wool! All very different with their choice of colours too. Same time next week guys π¨βπ #TockArt #Tock3 Tockwith CE Primary Academy
Our final piece of artwork, inspired by the American author and illustrator Bernard Most and his book, 'If the Dinosaurs Came Back'. Simple black pen work, with a bold splash of colour. Awesome artwork again from the Y1/2 artists π¦π¦π¨ #TockArt #Tock1 #Tock2 Tockwith CE Primary Academy
We've been studying the Romans, so what better than to create our very own mosaic tile. Everyone planned their tile, deciding on which items they were going to use. Very fiddly and lots of patience needed, but such wonderful results π± β π¨ Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockArt #TockY5
One of the advent windows is up. It's a silhouette of Neville, the school dog surrounded by bones, which a small group of children helped to add colour to. The window's not as complicated as last year, but I'm pleased with how it looks πΎπ¦΄πΆ Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockArt #Tock5 #Tock6
We finished our cork polar bears tonight in art club, and they all look adorable wearing their colourful felt scarves. Pom pom ears, a little bit of white fur and some white acrylic paint. Well done everyone π»ββοΈπ§£π¨β Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockArt #TockY3
Our homage to Street Art / Banksy based on his famous 'A Girl with a Balloon'. First, we created a wall with chalk pastels and charcoal, then added a red balloon with a word or message in keeping with Banksy's style. Awesome work Y3ππ¨β Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockArt #TockY3
What better way to end our topic Roman art, by creating an 'edible tile'. Each child thought about what they could use for a tile base, the glue and embellishments. They planned a design and went wild with their imagination. So much fun ππ»βπ¨ Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockArt #TockY6
The Year 5 art clubbers have finished their cute little bobble hats in two sessions. It's amazing what you can create with a loo roll and a bit of wool! All very different with their choice of colours too. Same time next week guys π¨βπ #TockArt #TockY5 Tockwith CE Primary Academy
Drawing bison like cavemen would have during the Stone Age, using brown paper, charcoal sticks and chalk pastels. They all look brilliant π¦¬π¨β Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockArt #TockY4
The penultimate art club session for the Year 5's, saw the group complete their llama's wearing woolly woven blankets. A tricky skill to master, but everyone did a great job ππ» π¦ π¨ β #TockArt #TockY5 Tockwith CE Primary Academy
Year 4 were feeling the love yesterday, so we decided to create some colourful hearts. We decorated them, adding zentangle patterns in black fineliner. Some even wrote a message on the back to a loved one. They all look brilliant β€οΈπ§‘π©·ππππ€π¨β Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockArt #TockY4
Year 2 followed a set of simple step-by-step instructions to create their Easter bunnies today. I love how they're all so individual with such wonderful characters Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockArt #TockY2 π°π¨π
The Y6 finale for our Celtic art topic. Painting the initial letter of our name to incorporate knotwork, spirals, key patterns and zoomorphics. These look awesome in watercolours, outlined in black fineliner pen. Great work Year 6 Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockY6 #TockArt π¨βππ»
Our black & white zentangle letters look brilliant against the colourful pinpoint perspective backgrounds. We have only used coloured pencils and black fineliner pens to produce these super pieces. Well done to my Year 4 artists ππ»π¨β Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockY4 #TockArt
Loving these quirky little bird sculptures created over two Art Club sessions. Designed, coloured, cut out and assembled with lots of care and attention. Adding beads of choice which complement the final piece. Definitely a favourite of mine π¦π¨β Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockY4 #TockArt
Using willow charcoal sticks to draw Henry Moore's reclining figure. The Y5/6's learnt about composition, mark making, smudging and shading. An amazing effort from every child and so great to see such a variety of drawing styles π¨ β Tockwith CE Primary Academy #TockY5 #TockY6 #TockArt
