With a shorter week we brought out the VINTAGE, yet never used until now, QUIZMO!

This was such a welcomed surprise & honor. Teaching is a lot like parenting—hardest thing I’ve ever done but also the most rewarding. So blessed to have found such an amazing school, community, & team to begin this new adventure. & even at my age, you call your mom. I ♥️ MCMS.

I was hoping to get the real Patrick Mahomes II to visit our Mill Creek Middle 6th grade math class & teach us a little about decimals but since it’s his bye week, Mini-Patrick will have to do. Classes competed against one another for the fastest time & best overall time. #decimalfun

Today in 6th Grade Math we talked about our brain neurons & how when we struggle and grapple with problems they lean on each other to helps us GROW! Tomorrow we dive into our classroom social contracts! BElieve THEre is GOOD in the world.

We are learning about integers in 6th grade at MCMS so of course we had to do a human number line! Students couldn’t talk, use hand gestures, or look at their own numbers. The fastest hour did it 1:33.37.

Better late than never. The first full week we discussed how we wanted to be treated and how we like to learn. Each color represents a different class period.

Kicking off the weekend with the Old Settlers Parade. I love seeing how this program is building a sense of community and belonging so early on in his high school journey.
