We’re excited to be a part of the Sustrans #BigWalkAndWheel. In partnership with Schwalbe Tyres UK it's the UK's largest inter-school walking, wheeling, scooting and cycling challenge. It aims to inspire hundreds of thousands of pupils to get active on the school run.

Eco- schools at Brook Mead want to thank all the scholars for bringing in their plastic tops/lids. They have collected 3 boxes so far! Please keep collecting over the holidays and place them in the collection boxes in the school library.

Sad to be packing up our library as fond memories of book talks, fevered recommendations, pleas for the next in the series, etc. However, also super excited to move our beautiful stock to our new palatial three story height library in the heart of our new building.

Super proud to have been awarded the Eco Schools Green Flag with Merit! Brook Mead Academy . Scholars have worked so hard and learnt new skills. Looking forward to taking on the challenge next year in our new building.

Thank you to Kathleen and your team at DMU for inviting our scholars to attend an event looking at the UN Sustainability goals. Scholars enjoyed all the activities, ideas for a sustainable school, working on the goal that meant the most to them and making a wallet from a carton.

Great time at Forbidden Planet Leicester with the lovely Anna and Rhys selecting new Manga books for our brand new library Brook Mead Academy. Thank you both for your expert knowledge. Looking forward to seeing these fly off our shelves to be enjoyed by the scholars.

I had an amazing time time Children's Bookshop choosing books with Sanchita and Emma from "The book that represents me" from @booktrust competition. I can not wait to get them on our library shelves and into the hands of the scholars to read.
