Son’s school requested gastrostomy awareness training from community nurses. School then offered it to any member of staff who was interested. Son was blown away by how many teachers attended. “They must really care about me if they are interested in my gastrostomy.”

What a wonderful week it has been celebrating the strengths of neurodivergent conditions. Once conditions are identified, strengths can be realised and challenges supported. At ALF we believe early identification is the key to everyone thriving and achieving their potential.

I’ve been blown away by the support for my Bill in Parliament over the past 2-years, where I've been campaigning for the universal screening of dyslexia in primary schools. 🧵

I want to see ALL neurodivergent conditions picked up before a child leaves school to ensure no matter who you are, you receive the help and support you need.
