In Art, Reception Holly Mount RC Primary have been learning about ‘line’. After exploring portraits, we used various lines to paint our self portraits. We also thought about colour when choosing our individual skin tones. In addition, we used transient art to recreate our faces.🎨🖌🍁

This week in Reception Holly Mount RC Primary we have been learning all about the festival of Diwali. We responded through art and explored sculpture to create our individual diva lights. 🪔

In Reception Holly Mount RC Primary we have enjoyed planting daffodil and crocus bulbs. We are looking forward to seeing them grow in the spring Mrs Patterson .

A snapshot of our past two weeks in Reception Holly Mount RC Primary . In art, we created transient art firework pictures and explored texture to create a poppy. Next a trip to the orchard to harvest apples, before slicing and stewing them. Finally, we enjoyed all our hard work!🍏🍎😋

This week Reception Holly Mount RC Primary ventured upstairs for a beautiful prayer and liturgy led by Yr5/6. Thank you @MrsHolly341 class for inviting us! ❤️💛💙 We have also been exploring 2D shapes and showing super focus in our self-chosen writing and phonics activities. 🤩

What a week in Reception Holly Mount RC Primary ! First the children completed a Santa Dash Holly Mount PTA , then they created some super story maps to recall a story in sequence. Finally, they performed their Nativity with confidence and great big smiles…I am so proud of you all! 🤩

This week Reception Holly Mount RC Primary invited @MrsHolly341 class to our prayer and liturgy. The children sat so reverently and reflected on what gift they could give to Jesus. We have also been learning about the Advent wreath and developing our observational painting skills.🎨🖌

After a delicious Christmas dinner, we had a very exciting afternoon. A huge thank you to Mrs England Holly Mount RC Primary for our amazing surprise today … reindeers!!!🦌🎄It was truly magical to see the wonder on the children’s faces ❤️💛💙 Miss Whitton Reception 2 Mrs Lingard
