I'm chaperoning a middle school field trip today. We're having great discussions on the importance of unserialzied firearms and taxation vs theft.

One of the first school shootings was committed with a 'Ghost Gun' on November 12, 1840. John Anthony Gardner Davis, a law professor at the University of Virginia, was shot by student Joseph Semmes and died three days later.

It's fascinating that school shootings drastically increased after the Gun Control Act of 1968, which mandated serial numbers on firearms. Schools seemed safer when all guns were 'Ghost Guns,' or MAYBE there are 'other factors?!'

1,922,577 crime guns reported from 2017-2021 per ATF crime gun report. If we add up the 'Ghost Guns' as pre-1968, destroyed serial, and personally manufactured firearms (PMF) that's around 114,546 'Ghost Guns'. The last time I checked, 6% isn't a majority of 'choice.'
