Today our staff spent the day with Michelle Lloyd and Mrs Kate Thomas learning about the instructional approach of inquiry learning. It was fantastic to explore inquiry learning with two outstading educators while picking up a few new tricks with IT along the way.

Recently in class I noticed a student was more engaged than normal. I asked him what resonated w/ him so much. I was curious what I had done. He said something that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about. “When my teachers care I care.” And that my friends, is everything.

The end of term doesn’t really slow down in early childhood. But following the children’s lead of literal renovations using the wooden tools turned the cafe into a home plus an outdoor patio area! Our math and Tinkering have had high interest and let the kids show teamwork.

Book Week 2023 saw teachers share a favourite book in the morning, a book swap & reading with buddies. After a fab parade, local author Ian Phillips present his first book ‘Tolling the Time’ to our school which features our historically significant school bell. #witnessthetruth
