Feeling relieved- all 10 little goslings were with the family today. And, a second family of ducks are also nesting at our beach- they're a bit bigger than the ones we saw yesterday. no

Egg laying day for the snapping turtles! We missed the ones at the beach, but caught one crossing the road. In the 1st pic, you can see tracks on the lower left as she came up to nest, and the tracks above her nest are where she turned back. Can also see the drag mark from tail.

Most exciting part of the kayak ride, we saw a great blue heron! Very impressive to see and watching him take flight was amazing, his wing span was massive. We see tons of ducks, geese and loons, but this was a first.
