Today Mr Grant continued our lessons on light by playing laser archery. Shining the laser onto mirrors of various angles the class tried to hit the targets. Lots of health and safety in place. P5 used 3 mirrors, P4 just one. #STEM#PSTT#successfullearners
Yesterday 4 residents and staff from Annfield House came to watch our nativity play. With the support of our P7 Pope Francis Faith Award pupils they enjoyed some refreshments after the performance. The P7’s received a gift from them.#PopeFrancisFaithAward#responsiblecitizens

Today we remembered 25 years of service from Mrs Ross, as a class teacher, and 13 years from Mr Ivatt, as our janitor at St. Mary’s. We wish them all the best on their retirement and the start of the next chapter in their life.
Today we celebrate the birth of Jesus and are thankful for all that we have. Remember time spent with family and friends who are loving and caring is a gift that cannot be bought. Merry Christmas everyone!

Primary 4/5 have been exploring column method over the past week, with and without exchange. We used practical materials to visualise exchange. Some pupils worked on practising subtraction games to reinforce their learn its, subtraction within 10. #BigMaths
On Friday afternoon P4 and P4/5K went outside to do some den building. In groups they were challenged to make a shelter following a given criteria. Lots of skills development and fun resulted in a variety of dens. All winners! #successfullearners#confidentindividuals

Outdoor learning for P4C and P4/5 was for each class to build an obstacle course in different playgrounds.With basic equipment they each were successful and had fun playing on both.Skills of communication and cooperation were developed from start to finish.#effectivecontributors
