On Friday, I had a friend invite me to watch her cheer before the HSE football game. I had a blast watching her do something she loves 📣💙

After weeks of hard work on our writing about somewhere in the world we want to visit, students had a chance to share their descriptive essays with the class! We even had a special guest listener - Mr. Hoog!

This week, we surprised 13 different @hseschools teachers to let them know their grant was awarded and being funded by HSEF! HSEF invested over $20,000 into these new innovative projects that will impact students throughout 12 different schools. hsefoundation.org/teachers/past-…

This grant could not have been possible without Gwen’s incredible idea and strongly written letter. The whole class supported her by engaging in a multistep process to persuade the HSEF. If we give them the tools and opportunity, ANY student can make an impact 💪🏼👷🏻‍♀️
