Outdoor learning was making Indigenous Connections to our place in the Wolastoqey lands that we reside on. Inspired by Julie Flett and other wise words. We explored our OC and ended the day with a found object to hold during gratitude circle. Take Me Outside Centreville School


Day 2 of Take Me Outside activities led to learning about animals, tracks and scat. We did spot chipmunk eating the sunflowers that we left but couldn’t find his tracks. He was too fast for a pic! Ss observed it was difficult to see tracks on hard ground. Centreville School


A few pictures from our full Take Me Outside day on Wednesday. We headed outside right after hearing the Wolastoq song and enjoyed a day of learning including creating art with found objects and planting trees. Centreville School


We have been enjoying apples all fall from a tree in our Outdoor Classrooms. On Wednesday Take Me Outside day, we made some applesauce that warmed us up in the afternoon. Centreville School


The Take Me Outside theme for Thursday was health and wellness. What better way than to connect with nature, breathe, really listen, and connect to nature from our sit spot in the Outdoor Classroom. Centreville School


An absolutely stellar morning exploring the Red Trail on Meduxnekeag River preserve. Thanks to Holly for spotting the cutest little frog. We also saw a squirrel and many fungi/mushrooms and heard pileated woodpecker, chickadee and blue jay.
