Our HBYC group (young carers group) met this week Hartley Brook Academy their voice is paramount in support I offer so here's a few things we have looked at along with a couple of games in the new group with around 11 or 12 children who attend #youngcarers Sheffield Young Carers

This week Hartley Brook Academy our wellbeing ambassadors have been working on 5 ways to healthy wellbeing at Hartleybrook! Keep an eye out as we work through each area and offer advice, understanding and support to achieve healthy wellbeing at Hartleybrook! #wellbeingmatters

Next week is #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek Hartley Brook Academy we will be sharing ideas to support our mental health and beginning to have an understanding of mental health and what this means for us raising awareness and decreasing stigma around mental health

This week's #MentalHealthWeek is about moving, if you find it hard because of time you adults could do something like climb the stairs 5 times when the kettle is on!! Moving and physical exercise can really boost your mental health can you guys Hartley Brook Academy give it a try!

Today Hartley Brook Academy some more emotional literacy activities were completed with EYFS children looking at recognising emotions in others and what that looks like for us using a mirror, some great interpretations of their and other peoples emotions #emotionalliteracy #wellbeing

Yesterday our young carers met for our HBYC group we used lots of creative resources to create a This is me... piece. They wanted people to know who they were as well as the support they offer at home lots of laughter and connection within the group Sheffield Young Carers

Today we held another afternoon tea where we welcomed Hartley Brook Academy members of the community and even our local counsellor to get together share stories and build relationships! The children were respectful, kind and very polite and curtious everyone had a great time #proud

Letters for the Hartley Brook Academy holiday club will be sent home tomorrow if you would like the place please complete and return ASAP!! We can not wait for lots of exciting fun activities hopefully in the sun with healthy food and lots of creative and sports activities #FUN

Day 1 yesterday of our HAF holiday club Hartley Brook Academy and it was hot hot hot! Ignite Imaginations helped us with some creative activities, pool, we had some healthy pitta pizzas and seasonal fruit for lunch and then some outside turn finished off with a cooling ice pop #holidayfun

Day 2 today Hartley Brook Academy and again hot hot hot but today was pasta salad, seasonal fruit, rice cakes instead of crisps, pool, ping pong, olympic crafts, mini hedgehogs,bird houses and some football rounders and cat and mouse game in the sun ☀️🌞

Day 3 Hartley Brook Academy HAF took us to Magna science centre and the sun shone so we could enjoy their great play area when we had finished exploring 🌞🔥 🌍 🌬️ 💦 #makingmemories #holidayclubfun

Stunning day in the sun Hartley Brook Academy for the HAF club over 35 children in attendance and some great activities with Ignite Imaginations sun printing and acetone tracing fun #funactivities #makingmemorieswithfriends

Yesterday we welcomed Ignite Imaginations again for two more creative workshops this time some beautiful pencil cases and key rings and some bird stands, all the children loved the activities then cat and mouse chase games on the field! Great day had by all Hartley Brook Academy

Today was our last Hartley Brook Academy trip day of the holidays where we explored the tropical butterfly house, watched a show where we saw an owl, rats and parrots and finished off our day with some time on the outdoor play equipment, zip wire and go karts #funday

Busy day Hartley Brook Academy for the penultimate holiday club day!! Painting, crafts, just dance, rocket hot potato, quad a lovely healthy lunch and lots of pool and ping pong!! Last one on Thursday to finish off the holiday club with a great last session with Ignite Imaginations 🤩

So like that it's a wrap for Summer HAF 2024! Great activities, healthy nutritious food eaten and loads of physical exercise and memories made over these holidays Hartley Brook Academy massive thank you to all the families who have attended and made these holidays fun for us all 🌞
