It’s Soup-er Hero Day for our Madden Elementary and there were enough Spider-Men and Spider-Gwens in 3rd grade outclass today to snap a pretty epic SpiderMeme pic. Can’t wait to see how many cans our kiddos have collected for the Human Needs this week!

Our Madden Elementary Madden Music Makers did a fantastic job at the Garcia Winter Spectactular! Our music teachers are crushing it with choir this year.

Our youngest Madden Elementary practiced making patterns in ScratchJr during our first rotation of the new year. We tried it first without the repeat loop block and then simplified our lives by using it to have our sprite repeat simple patterns.

.Madden Elementary 4th graders helped break in our new micro:bits. They coded each micro:bit to function as a randomized dice 🎲 & then competed head to head in a dice war. They also coded the A & B buttons on the micro:bit to change the LED light to a 😊 for a win & a ☹️ for a loss.

These 4th grade Madden Elementary coded their micro:bits to make a fun digital version of Hot Potato. They learned how to create a timer variable in the program and how to use a repeat loop and wait block to make the timer count down to zero.

So proud of the Madden Elementary who participated in this year’s district science fair. I was wowed by all of your enthusiasm and knowledge. It was also so wonderful getting to see the Maddens there as well!

Our Madden Elementary coders had an amazing showing at this year’s Fort Bend ISD STEM Coding Competition. Our kiddos took home 1st place in the Animation competition and both 1st and 4th places in the Video Game competition. So proud!

The Madden Elementary Outclass Team wheeled all of our SMART Panels into the gym today & had classes in each grade level rotate around the room to help construct our Respect Agreements. It was a wonderful way to see literally all of our Huskies today and set everyone up for success!

Our Madden Elementary 5th graders had a great time building observation towers in class this rotation with purposefully limited supplies. I love getting to see their engineering ingenuity in action! Fort Bend ISD STEM

These Madden Elementary 4th graders did a wonderful job building load bearing tables using nothing more than a tiny bit of tape, a small piece of cardboard, and 3 pieces of newspaper. Love that Husky Engineering Ingenuity!

Using limited materials and their engineering acumen, our Madden Elementary 5th graders designed and built these awesome lookout towers, all of which were able to withstand moderate wind and were over 30 centimeters tall!

Our Madden Elementary 1st graders had a blast using the EDP to build bigger and bigger cup towers. Over the course of the class period, they brainstormed, designed, built, tested, redesigned, and rebuilt numerous times. Loved seeing them reach new heights in the STEM Lab!
