Creating a healthy relationship means you must un-learn the unhealthy patterns you adopted from your family.

Most people don’t really want the truth. What they want is constant reassurance that what they already believe is the truth.

You have to be selective with who you follow in both “social” media and real life. The difference is, in real life you can’t follow more than one person. And whoever you follow represents who you value and the path you’re walking towards. So be selective.

Anger is an emotion that makes your mouth move faster than your mind. It’s destructive to the mind and hurtful to the heart. If you speak when you’re angry, the regret will haunt you.

Dinner last night at #RootandBone in Miami👌🏾 we use to come here often when we vacationed here and now we’re here as official Floridians!

Something that has haunted my mind for the past 2 weeks is this saying; “if you hold yourself to a low standard, you’ll make choices based on that low standard”. For some reason these words are constantly replaying in my mind daily.

It’s so unfortunate that as women most of us spend our teens trying to rush looking like an adult, then spend our 20’s rejecting responsibility and standards of respect we should have for ourselves, then spend our 30’s rejecting getting older and wishing we were 20 again...

Moral of the story; Learn from your 20’s and appreciate TODAY vs fantasizing over what you use to be. Aging is a privilege. But it takes being grateful to acknowledge how blessed you are to be alive. Your body/face changing with age is just a natural cycle of life.

None of us are entitled to breathing. It’s a blessing from God to be grateful for. Your tummy not being flat or your fine lines beginning to show is a privilege because you’re alive & well. But if you want a a healthier body it’s obviously ok to work towards it with gratitude.

Our relationships affect our health and happiness. The problem is that we’re never taught how to seek, create, nurture, and assess our relationships the same way we do our careers and bank accounts.

Your results are hidden in your daily routine. That hit me hard today. What should you be doing more of and less of... we all know the answer, it’s just a matter of doing it consistently.
