The current deal has 7 more years to run. Why would the broadcasters renegotiate? 2032 is forever. The executives on both sides will largely be gone by then. cnbc.com/2025/09/24/nfl…

Is it just me or does anyone else think the nationalization of the economy is a dangerous slippery slope? Didn't Britain do this in the post WW2 period with disastrous results? cnbc.com/2025/09/24/lit…

Blink!!!! Linear TV is in decline. Sinclair needs to do anything it can attract eyeballs. Replace Kimmel and put on what? "Wholesome" programs like Lassie and Little House on the Prairie aren't going to get many eyeballs or advertisers. Blink!!! cnbc.com/2025/09/26/sin…

Cynthia Cox asserted (5:27) that Obamacare is no more expensive than group insurance. That is false. Due to a bad pool of early retirees, disabled, unemployed, etc ACA claims are much higher than for people who go to work, so more expensive. @newshour youtube.com/watch?v=YkOJyQ…

Perspective. A reminder that the 1990's was the best American Economy in the past 50+ years. Are interest rates really that high that they are killing the economy?

This is a reality check for Florida. Our economy is still tourism, agriculture, and retirement based. We struggle to attract higher paying industries and jobs. A large part of the problem is rooted in a poor K-12 education system which then hurts post secondary education.

Assuming accuracy here this is the genre of investigation the GOP Senate and House should be conducting, rather than 2020 election issues. Sadly, it's hard to have credibility criticizing Biden's 1A free speech attacks, when Trump has blatantly instituted his own.

I follow David Brooks on his weekly appearances on the PBS Newshour. I have long been impressed with his ability to be measured and thoughtful. This week he was interviewed by Charlie Rose. Great insights. If you have an hour watch it. youtube.com/watch?v=OWnmsT…

Why is Ron DeSantis against data centers? We have lots of rural space, the proven ability to construct and run nuclear plants to power them, and the need for good 21st century jobs - especially in the areas he draws from. Virginias loss, our gain. youtube.com/watch?v=DhL7j3…

I am one of those who don't have a strong opinion one way or another. I am sure we will all adapt. On the other hand just the thought that Trump thinks he can do this by executive order is another example of how off the rails he is heading.

It's time for us to all stand up and say The Emperor Has No Clothes. And I don't mean Trump, it's both political parties that can't stop spending like drunken sailors.
