Our actual lawn was looking awful the last year - weeds, dead spots, patches. Everything we tried was only temporarily successful. So we hired lawn experts and now it looks awesome. Same in marriage - you don’t have to struggle through on your own, getting help is a shortcut

So true. You don’t shop for a great marriage. Let your guard down a little and truly experience the person.

Our dogs ate chewing gum last week & a very expensive vet bill ensued. One of us left the gum accessible. One of us didn’t know & left the dogs unattended. Who got the blame? Nobody. Unfortunate event that we both felt bad about. Opportunity to forgive, not lay blame.

💯 Here’s a tip: Have a notepad you both add ideas to throughout the week - date ideas, marriage feedback, sex ideas etc At the end of the week pick something from the pad together to do next week - a sex position, dinner at a restaurant, whatever Communication + intent
