Buddy Bolden house update: the City just gave the owners 30 more days to submit plans for repairs without imposing any fines. A rep for the owners told the City they have the $ to fix it up and will get paperwork to them soon.

This mama duck and her baby ducklings walked right in through the front door of Peaches Records in New Orleans. An adorable family of little vinyl lovers. [📹 peachesrecords]

Habitat’s model was never a great fit for this community’s post-K housing needs. We had a few musicians facing foreclosure in 2008/9, just a few years after the musicians village was built. That’s after a bunch of secondary fundraising to qualify them for the mortgages.

The march on the DNC the moment protesters tore down the first level of barricades near the United Center. Chicago PD met them in the street. Confrontation ended when a phalanx of police in riot gear came in a pincer from the other end of the street. Two arrests, I heard.
