Continuing to learn and paint with water colours to create our Easter eggs and Spring chicks. Love hearing other students say things like, “Those paintings brighten my day!”

Another Colour House Event! To celebrate Selby Public School’s March Mathness, colour houses explored and played a variety of Math games to build their Math knowledge and skills.

Lots of hard work happening in Grade 1 as we work on applying our sound knowledge to decode and encode words. Words ladders are a new favourite in our class.

We had such a fantastic day @gouldlake_LDSB hiking, pond exploring and searching for mica. Our bus ride back to school had many sleeping Grade 1s and 2s! Thanks Dan for being such a great leader!

We were beyond excited in Grade 1 today when Crystal appeared from her chrysalis right before our eyes! Caregivers, ask your child what the following terms mean: frass, metamorphosis and exoskeleton! Lots of rich vocabulary building in Grade 1!

A great day learning about the watershed and why it is important to protect the water in our region. We had a blast painting our own fish to go on the fence outside of our school as part of the Stream of Dreams™. Thank you Quinte Conservation!

Our year end trip was a huge success! Pirate park and bowling for the win! Thank you to all our parents who helped out! We appreciate you.
