As ISDs adopt budgets & compensation for schools, I’m reminded of Greg Abbott Teacher Vacancy Task Report’s top recommendation: “Increase overall compensation and support strategic compensation strategies”. Credibility isn’t measured by a task force, but rather the response.

Last night the Pearland ISD School Board did something that the State of Texas with a $32 billion surplus budget could not do - give educators more money. We are not done and will continue to work to allocate more funds to our staff.

Thankful to our Temple ISD Board of Trustees for approving a 3% pay increase for all employees. This is a minimum raise, w/ potential for more, contingent upon the TX Legislature. We waited as long as we could for legislative support. My staff & their families will wait no more!
