This week brought its fair share of excitement. While I believe actions speak louder than words, I can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment as PARSUK sealed a new deal with FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia after a year of negotiations. Proud moment!

The Turing has appointed 4 new Directors to address society’s biggest challenges through data science and AI. The announcement is a key milestone in implementing the Turing’s new strategy which shapes how the Institute will use data science and AI for social good.

Professor Marc Deisenroth, from the UCL Centre for AI, will lead the Environment and Sustainability Grand Challenge which aims to find solutions to decarbonisation and environmental systems.
