Immensely proud of these 9 Brechin High School pupils (even the 1 who didn't want to be photographed!) who took the time to participate, during lockdown, in the UK Maths Trust Junior Individual Maths Challenge in June. Well done all! brechinhighmaths
Incredibly proud of one of our most dedicated brechinhighmaths pupils, Rachel, who is the first Brechin High School pupil to enter the UK Maths Trust Mathematical Olympiad for Girls in recent memory. Well done Rachel! Archie Bathgate
Congratulations to these enthusiastic and hard working young people who became the first to achieve a Bronze Award for their entries to brechinhighmaths maths challenge! Thanks to Archie Bathgate for awarding certificates. Many more on their way to Bronze. Who'll be 1st to reach Silver?

In my final week😭 at Brechin High School brechinhighmaths department, I'm proud of all these pupils who have engaged with my maths challenges throughout the year, achieving gold standard. Each received certificates today. I'm sure they'll go on to great things! Brechin High Library
I'm so impressed with my S3s' Pi-ku poems they wrote for Pi day! (The pupil writing about disliking maths was quick to clarify that it was hypothetical 😂). Also had a reciting pi contest which brought some sibling / cousin rivalries! @WMCKilmarnockAc Chris Smith MBE @mathsweekscot
