Whilst there is a correlation between FMS and sport participation. I fear we might be conflating this with linear causation. Maybe focusing on activities that are meaningful and engaging is more important than isolated skill mastery. We develop skills in things we like doing.

Thanks ACHPER Victoria for your support and facilitation of not only my own but others skillets. I have learnt so much through, from and because of you. How lucky is the PE world to have such an awesome organisation facilitating growth.

#physed Warm-Ups or starter activities. What do you think a good 'warm-up' is? I personally have gone cold on the idea of a distinct warm-up. Often time fillers and a missed opportunity. Think of them more like the first activity of the lesson progressing towards objectives.

Hey Twitter peeps, I am currently developing a year 8 Fitness unit for a school that has no existing program. My Ss are low and honestly, even a senior primary unit would have relevance. Would anyone be open to sharing what they may have used before? Successes/Challenges?

I am super excited to now publically share that in 2022 I will be commencing a HPE Learning Specialist role at Gleneagles Secondary College. I can't wait to meet my team and get to work! Fun times ahead.

Floorball is a winner for 100 % student engagement k-5. Lots of learning: striking, anticipating, moving, defending. Rules simple to self monitor. TY Daniel Tennessen for the noodlette #pehack Activity sheet from Mike Graham.

7th grade warming up w/ 1v1 Tag from OPEN Phys Ed. They love it, even though it's in the K-1 module. Good for getting back to the offense/defense basics we've missed out on for over a year. #physed Activity plan link: openphysed.org/wp-content/upl…

Strikerball - The whole class climate improved significantly when I added a rule…if you say “You are out” instead of “nice try”, the person who said it is out instead and has to go to another game. TY to many including Glenn Horowitz joe burch Mr. Staup Kyle.PE.Bragg
