The sheer intricate, meticulous design of Mario Kart World is so fun to learn from as an aspiring designer. Probably the main thing to look at is the end results: Look how clean and fun races are! Chaos middle pack, you're never waiting to lose, and every race is an adventure.

The method of precomputing these pixels in buffers is really interesting! It inspired me to give it a try to make a dissolve effect.

Does iterating a closed loop like this have a name? I think I first saw Erin Catto do it this way many decades ago? If it doesn't have a name they should get naming rights - it's so elegant!
