In Halina Reijn’s masterful Babygirl, Nicole Kidman gives her finest film performance since Rabbit Hole. This is Kidman like we’ve rarely seen her before, such a courageous and vulnerable turn that 100% deserves an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. Do not let me down, Academy!

Demi Moore getting into Best Actress for The Substance would be one of the most inspired Oscar nominations in decades. She’s never been nominated before, this is the performance of her career, and she 100% deserves it. I know the category is stacked but OMG would that be amazing.

Another inspired Oscar nomination for The Substance would be Margaret Qualley in Best Supporting Actress. She is absolutely at Demi Moore’s level and is the most electric she’s ever been in a film. She’s sexy, ferocious, and darkly funny in what’s quite the memorable performance.

One performance I can’t stop thinking about that I saw at TIFF is Pamela Anderson in The Last Showgirl. She 100% deserves to be a part of the next awards season for her magnificent tour-de-force role in Gia Coppola’s compelling drama. Anderson is haunting, authentic, devastating.

Robert Eggers about Nosferatu: “Vampires should be terrifying, but we haven't seen them that way in decades. Reviving the original, authentic fear they once inspired in people who truly believed in them is commendable and cool.” #Nosferatu

Anatomy of a Murder marked James Stewart’s final Oscar nomination for Best Actor, and his only collaboration with director Otto Preminger. I found this one too long at nearly three hours, but I loved the stark B&W photography and terrific performances by an amazing ensemble cast.

This is a brilliant film that’s 100% getting into Best International Feature, and watch out for a heartbreaking Fernanda Torres in Best Actress
