Got round with 66 seconds to spare before it became a five-hour marathon. Bizarrely saved my fastest mile for last. Had a few spectators walk into me, quads then calves packed in too. Hot afternoon as well so a decent run, all things considered. Now for a burger then the pub!

Staying in Chicago for another couple of days. Unconfirmed that we’ve just walked past Rangers’ next port of call in the search for a new manager…

At this rate, Rangers are going to be delighted to announce the appointment of Russell Martin as the club’s new head coach on a five-year deal at some point in the next few days…

Sitting in my seat a few rows behind the directors box on Sunday is certainly going to be an interesting experience. Pathetic from Rangers tonight, and absolutely none of it is on Danny Röhl.

Nice to actually enjoy a game at Ibrox today and to see a Rangers win on the fourth anniversary of Walter Smith’s passing, hard to believe it’s been that long already. A small step forward and pleased for Danny Rohl, whose team looked more coached than they have for a while…

Back-to-back wins, two in two for Danilo, an away clean sheet and up to third. It’s been a better few days for Rangers and Danny Rohl. Played well in the first half, ground it out in the second and I certainly don’t think they’d have done that under Russell Martin. On to Sunday…

This has gained a bit more traction in the last few days with some big accounts based down south catching on - easily the best new song in Scottish football this season, with St Johnstone’s Josh McPake effort not far behind…

Spent a week with DHL_Motorsports at the Hungarian Grand Prix in the summer to see how they deliver the logistics operation from race to race for Formula 1 - fascinating to see how everything pieces together in the pit lane and the paddock. Here’s my feature… skysports.com/watch/video/13…

In the seven seasons from Gerrard's appointment, Rangers played exactly 100 European games, beat genuinely big clubs, reached a final and built an excellent reputation. The regression in 2025, where they now look like novices in a tournament they grew to love, is startlingly bad.

Seven UEFA defeats in a row for Rangers, the worst European run in the club's history. Bottom of the table and one of only two teams without a point halfway through the league phase. Miles off the pace and light years from where the new ownership will have planned to be. So grim.

I’m not sure if Luke Donald can be a contender for SPOTY without actually playing any sport but his captaincy was absolutely outstanding for how he united his players and if there’s a way for him to be in the mix, he should be. Europe should also be Team of the Year for sure.

Decent enough win, more points for Rohl in three games than in seven for Martin. Poor as they’ve been overall, Rangers have still lost just once in the league so not much of a step up to improve results, it seems. Producing 90-minute performances still a work in progress though…
