As he in effect admitted today, Sadiq Khan's threats to cut the bus network were always about politics, not about money. We appear to have called his bluff.

The only person who ever threatened to cut bus routes in London was the Mayor. Now he claims victory for "saving" them. TfL under his leadership truly a nightmare to deal with - it's all politics and spin, not what's best for London.

This is so dishonest. The IRP included 4 new & accelerated investments: full electrification of the Transpennine and Midland Main Lines; upgrades to the East Coast Main Line; initial funding for WY Mass Transit. From other pots: £830m for local transport in WY, £24m for ZE buses.
