one of my fave tropes is constantly-changing labyrinthian settings. whether it’s a haunted house with endless hallways or the same tree appearing in a forest no matter which way the adventurer walks, that trope SLAPS

with great book plots comes the paralyzing fear that you’re doing everything wrong & maybe you’re just a silly little guy having a silly little day

don't be weak, write books the good old fashioned way with a quill pen in a rotting gothic mansion with a few ghosts peering over your shoulder and your relatives downstairs calling you a recluse in the attic and trying to poison your tea
