Today we are in Qarshi for the opening of a small pasta production factory based on climate-resilient durum wheat varieties organized by the Innovation Group connecting researchers, farmers and businesses. This has been made possible by #EUAGRIN project funded by EU in UZBEKISTAN.

Yesterday w Qishloq xo'jaligi vazirligi and EU in UZBEKISTAN we discussed ๐ results of our #EUAGRIN project for the 2023: โ Innovation Partnership and 18 Innovation Groups established โ 47 trainings โ 2 ๐ forums โ 1277 women engaged all recognized by Presidential Decree PQ-216.

๐Exciting news for #GenderEquality! ๐บ๐ฟ Resolution #85 of 12 Feb 2024 abolishes restrictions on women's driving heavier vehicles & buses. Cheers to collaborative efforts by UN Development & the Ministry of Transport, funded by Global Environment Facility (GEF) promoting gender-inclusive e-mobility! #TAILEV๐โ๏ธ๐ฑ

๐ Another inspiring initiative under UNDPโs Innovation Partnership in Uzbekistan! A great example of how precise irrigation can be powered by renewable energy, with surplus energy sold to the public grid. ๐ฑ๐ง๐ Big congratulations to our amazing agricultural team and partners!

Today in Beshariq we saw the results of two #EUAGRIN innovation groups: on mung bean & on intensive fish farming with use of solar energy. We are happy that with EU in UZBEKISTANโs funding we can contribute to introducing watersaving and sustainable practices in agriculture.
